TO BE A GOOD DESIGNER?
You don’t need to be a drafter, a model-maker, an amazing artist (I can’t draw a set if you put a gun to my head); The primary quality is not that far from what makes a good director—You have to be able to visualize and tell stories, to hold a vision of a world, and help your team attain it, no matter the means.
Personally, I like to get messy. I like to break things down. I like to fill all the desk cabinets with secret notes from ex-lovers, receipts, expired coupons, and photos of memories long forgotten. Every space needs to feel lived in. Every set needs to feel hand made.
I bring authenticity, so your actors can feel at home.
I bring professionalism, so there’s no miscommunication or time wasted on set.
I bring a team I trust, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
